Silicone wax products have been widely recognized by users in terms of imparting yarn smoothness, bundling, antistatic properties, reducing filaments and breaking ends. Choosing a good lubricating agent has a great influence on the lubricity of the sewing thread. For now, silicone wax-based sewing thread lubricants are the best lubricants on the market. There are two types of oiling for sewing threads, one is the dipping method, and the other is the contact method. Under the dipping method, the intercalary lubricants that can be used include the following two types: cationic hydroxy silicone oil emulsion (positive emulsion) and silicone wax water emulsion. Under the contact method, there are three types of lubricating oils that can be selected: thread-making silicone oil ( Line oil), 201 methyl silicone oil and (anhydrous) silicone wax emulsion. The performance of the products listed above is from low to high. Of course, different manufacturers produce the same product differently. For example, for the silicone wax water emulsion under the dipping method, if it is done well, it can be completely adsorbed to the sewing thread, and finally only clean water is left, there is no pollution, and it is easy to clean. There is also, for example, 201 methyl silicone oil under the contact method. Compared with imported products, domestic products are slightly inadequate in use.

Why is silicone wax lubricant the best intercalary oil for sewing threads? In principle, silicone wax can stay on the surface of the sewing thread for a longer period of time. We know that the structure of sewing thread is fluffy. In this case, after oiling the sewing thread, the oil can easily penetrate into the inside of the thread. If all the oil enters the inside of the thread, where will the sewing thread have good lubrication? Therefore, before the appearance of silicone wax, thread manufacturers ensure the leap slip performance of the thread by increasing the oil rate. However, there are problems with doing so. First of all, there is no doubt that the cost has increased. In addition, the more oil on the line will increase the size of the cleaning workers on the line. In addition, there are also problems in use, such as embroidery thread embroidering a pattern, the thread is used very intensively. If there is too much oil on your line, the oil will leak out and contaminate other places during ironing. As early as the 1980s, foreign countries discovered that silicone wax products are superior to pure silicone oil. Because it is a compound of silicone oil and wax. We know from the above that silicone oil is easy to penetrate into the inside of the wire, but as a solid, the wax can stay on the surface of the wire. We also know that wax is also a good lubricating product. At the same time, there are many kinds of waxes. For different needs, silicone wax lubricants can be compounded into antistatic agents, softeners, and so on. In this way, not only can provide good lubricity, other properties of the sewing thread can also be greatly improved!

Since wax is so good, can we use wax directly? Now there are such products, such as wax rings, and thread oil. In fact, thread oil is Shaotong’s silicone oil plus Dali’s white oil (white oil is a kind of wax). We said that this would not work. If your requirements are not high, you can use it like this, otherwise it won't work.

The sewing thread must always be used on the sewing machine. Now the speed of sewing is getting faster and faster. It is generally around 5,000 stitches per minute in China and around 700-8000 stitches per minute in foreign countries, and it can reach 9000 stitches per minute even faster. At this speed, it can be inferred how high the temperature of the sewing machine needle is! The biggest disadvantage of wax is that it is not resistant to high temperatures. At high temperatures, wax will be carbonized and coked. If the sewing thread is full of wax, when it passes through the needle hole of the sewing machine at high speed, it will slowly coke in the needle hole. The final result is that the needle hole is blocked, the thread breaks and the work stops. Silicon is resistant to high temperatures and has a cleaning effect. When the wax is carbonized in the pinhole, silicon can take it away in time to keep the pinhole unblocked.
